Business leaders, community partners, and golf enthusiasts gathered on the greens today for the Mayor’s Charity Golf Day a vibrant display of unity and generosity aimed at uplifting communities across Emalahleni.
Hosted by the Executive Mayor of Emalahleni Local Municipality, Councillor Vusi Nhlapho, the event drew wide participation and support from corporate sponsors and local stakeholders, all rallying behind charitable causes within the municipality.
Cllr Nhlapho praised the turnout and expressed gratitude to those who made the day possible. “This event reminds us that together, we can create lasting change for our people,” he said, thanking all who contributed both on and off the course.
Leading the list of sponsors were Seriti and Enpower Machite, commended for their steadfast partnership and generous support. The municipality also recognized contributions from Masemanzi, Exxaro, Munsoft, JCP Construction, MzikaMpumi, Thungela, and Mayivuthe, among others, whose involvement underscored the spirit of collaboration.
Several businesses also participated by purchasing four-ball entries, including Ursula Ntuli Attorneys, Ultra Liquor, Dolamo Attorneys, IPP Mining, Setlakamasa Security Services, Moletsi Services and Pro, Draadkar Mining, and Meat ’n Fish — all adding to the day’s success both competitively and charitably.
Beyond the friendly competition, the Golf Day served as a platform for strengthening relationships between the municipality and the private sector, with proceeds directed towards initiatives aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable residents.
As the sun set over the Emalahleni fairways, one message stood clear: collaboration, compassion, and community remain at the heart of progress.
